Sitting in my Bumbo
Amelia loves her Bumbo seat. It makes her feel like she is in the "action". It has been great to put her on the counter while I am cooking and doing things in the kitchen. She is getting so big!

Santa Baby
We are getting ready for our trip to Monroe for Thanksgiving. While there, Amelia will have her Christmas pictures taken by Matt's cousin Kirstin. She is a wonderful children's photographer. We are packing Amelia's Christmas outfits for the pictures. Here is a glimpse of our Santa Baby!
Naked Baby
Every evening, we strip Amelia down to her diaper and let her kick on her changing table before bath time. She loves this!! She kicks and laughs. Matt and I get such a kick out of her. But it makes Matt so mad that she likes being naked!
Sleeping Beauty
Well this week, we turned a new corner. Amelia started sleeping through the night. I won't hold my breath yet, but it has been nice to get a few nights of solid sleep. Her evening routine has been pretty consistent...bath at 6pm, then bottle, then bed. Some nights, she goes right down. Other nights, she cries for about 5-10 minutes. Then Matt gets her up at 10:30-11ish for a bottle. She had been getting up around 4, but this week, she has started skipping the 4am bottle and sleeping from 11pm until 7am! Wahoo!! Goooo Amelia! Keep it up :)

2 months old!
Our little peanut is 2 months old already! I can't believe how time is flying by. She has so much personality and is so alert. She loves looking at the butterflies and flowers hanging above her changing table and is becoming more interested in being in her swing. She kicks like crazy, so Gigi and Papa got her a Kickin Coaster. She is actually able to kick hard enough to move the seat up and down! She has good head control but still doesn't like tummy time. She eats very well and has been consistent with 3 naps a day: morning, mid-day, late afternoon. We were having difficulty in the evenings for about 2 weeks. She was very colicky from about 5-8pm. Since we increased her Zantac dose, she is doing much better.
Today we saw Dr. Connolly and Amelia weighs 11lbs 2.5oz and is 23in. She is now in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. She received her first set of shots today. Daddy held her down while Mommy looked away. She cried for maybe a minute! Daddy scooped her up and she nestled into his arms and was happy! I gave her Tylenol when we got home and she napped well, but woke up miserable. She was so inconsolable, it broke our hearts. She was good for her bath, ate well, and then cried herself to sleep while I rocked her. Once I knew she was good and asleep, I put her to bed. Not looking forward to shots again in another 2 months!
Dr. Connolly says she should be sleeping 6 hours at night. She has only been sleeping about 4 hours. We would love if she would follow Dr. Connolly's suggestion!

Bath Time
One of my favorite times of day is bath time. Bath time is calming for all of us and is usually a family event. It is a nice way to wind down Amelia's day and start the bedtime routine. Plus, I love the smell of a clean baby! Before and after her bath, she is so "talkative". She will lay on her changing table and kick and babble away! It cracks us up. Her personality is really starting to take shape.
