Is that a Hyena?!?!

No that is just Cubbie!! He went for his usual grooming, but came home with a crew cut. We don't know why the groomer did it, but I am sure Cubbie feels cooler! We were trying to figure out what he looks like and we came up with a Hyena! Mommy still thinks he is cute.

Week 20...Half way!

I can't believe we are half way to meeting our baby girl! She is moving so much now, especially when I lay down at night. I was convinced she was doing kart wheels Saturday night. Matt tried but couldn't feel the movement yet. Hopefully soon.

When my father-in-law saw me last night, he said it looks like I swallowed a cantaloupe. Ironically, the baby is the size of a cantaloupe this week! She is gulping down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Hope she liked pineapple and chick-fil-a today!

19 Weeks

Today I am 19 weeks. I lost 0.5lbs this week, but I am sure it is from all of the moving. Every time I pack the car with a new load, I run up and down our stairs a gazillion times! Just means I will have to eat more! I had a frosty today to make up for it.

This week the baby is the size of a mango. She is approximately 6 inches and 8.5 ounces. She is kicking alot and I can't wait for Matt to be able to feel it. No names yet, we are still working on it. Matt doesn't want to tell the name until she is born...we will see about that! But it doesn't matter anyway, because honestly, we don't have a name. Once all the craziness from the move settles down, we can hopefully start to focus on the nursery and naming!

Happy Anniversary!

Among all the craziness, we found a little time to celebrate our first Anniversary. We actually planned a little getaway with our "Supper Club". We try to get together once a month with our friends, The Chungs and The Buekers. Sometimes we get together with the kids, and sometimes without. The guys hate that we call it Supper Club, but us girls like it! We all celebrate our wedding anniversaries in April, so we decided to have one big celebration together. We contemplated going to St. Augustine or Amelia Island, but then we found a great deal at One Ocean Resort right here in Atlantic Beach. We didn't know when we planned this trip that we would be in the process of moving, but it worked out great. Because we were so close to the resort, we were able to work at the house on Saturday morning and still make it to the pool by noon! After checking into our room, we all lounged at the pool for a bit. Then we headed over to Lemon Bar for some cocktails...a virgin Dreamsicle for me followed by lots of water! The weather was amazing. The weather was unfortunate for most other states in the southeast this weekend, but Jacksonville had sun, warmth, and a slight breeze! For you locals, the Lemon Bar now has a taco stand. We devoured quite a few tacos!

After several hours in the sun, it was time to get ready for dinner. Matt was exhausted and crashed as soon as we hit the room. After his nap, we headed out with the gang to Tento, the Brazilian restaurant. This is the place where they continously bring different types of meat to your table. Since I am having a major meat aversion, I stuck to chicken and the salad bar (which was amazing!). Our table was by the front window. WOW!! The people watching we did! The crowd that night at the beach was something else! We laughed all afternoon and into the night. What a great mini-vacation! I highly recommend One Ocean resort, whether you are a local or just visiting. The service we had was great and it was nice to only be 5 minutes from home :)
Are you ready for a mini-vacation?!?!
View from our room, watching the cruise ships leave.
Nap time!

Happy 1st Anniversary!

New House

Wahoo! We closed on our new house. What an exciting feeling. The closing went smoothly and we immediately started working on the house. Matt started prepping for the painter and I started bringing over loads of stuff. We will make the official move next Saturday, but for now are bringing over the smaller loads. My legs are killing me from running up and down the stairs at our current place while loading. I will be glad to get rid of those stairs. I will finally rest easy when we close on the townhouse, set to close April 29th. Please keep your fingers crossed!

Mark, Nicole, and Liam stopped by to check out the new place. Liam loved the slide in the backyard! It definitely got the kid seal of approval. The swing set just needs some TLC and then it will be ready for Baby E and all her friends. Thanks Nicole for taking our first picture in our new home!

Our new address is 2171 Sound Overlook Drive East, Jacksonville, FL 32224. I am giving plenty of notice because I still want to receive everyone's cute Christmas cards!

18 weeks

Time is flying by. I can't believe we are already 18 weeks, almost half way there. We had a great time in Steamboat Springs and I will have to blog about it soon. We are so busy getting ready for this move. This past week, I turned 30 and Matt and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary! That year sure flew by. What an amazing day that was! We had such a great time surrounded by friends and family. We didn't do much to celebrate this weekend, we were busy packing and cleaning out the house. It is amazing how much stuff we have accumulated together in 4 years, and we aren't even pack rats!! So, we close on the new house Thursday and then next weekend we will actually celebrate our anniversary by going to One Ocean Resort in Jacksonville Beach.

This week, baby girl is the size of a Sweet Potato (one of my favorite foods, I might add). She is busy becoming more mobile: rolling, twisting, punching, kicking. Oh yes...kicking! I felt her kick 3 times in a row yesterday. I have been feeling flutters, but that was the first time I could identify an actual kick! We have been busy planning her nursery. I found fabric that I like for the bedding and accessories. Matt and I found the paint, as Matt is meeting with the painter today at the new house. It only took 2 trips to Sherwin Williams. I didn't think that was too bad!

No picture update this week. Matt has the camera at work, so as soon as he brings it home, I will post a picture. I have been to so many different doctors and been on so many different scales that following my weight gain has been difficult. But I have consistently weighed myself at Publix! Per the Publix scale, I have gained 8.5 pounds. I feel like produce everytime I go in there!
